Ted Eytan currently serves as Program Manager, Contract Trace Force at the DC Department of Health. He was formerly the medical director of Kaiser Permanente’s Center for Total Health and as a director in The Permanente Federation, LLC. The Center for Total Health is Kaiser Permanente’s social innovation center, located in the heart of Washington, D.C. (Twitter: @KPTotalHealth)
Eytan’s experience is in working with large medical groups and technologists to leverage health information technology to ensure that patients and their families have an active role in their own health care.
Eytan attended medical school at the University of Arizona, received his master’s in public health from the University of California, Berkeley, and his master’s in health services from the University of Washington. He completed his residency training at Group Health Cooperative and his fellowship training in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Washington in 2000. He is board certified in family practice.
Eytan’s clinical interests are preventive care and eliminating disparities in health status among vulnerable populations, including people who are LGBTQ. He is a regular user of social media tools to promote open leadership.
